Treatment of Choice

  • Narrowband UVB

    Narrowband UVB is now the most common form of phototherapy used to treat skin diseases (2008). “Narrow-band” refers to a specific wavelength of ultraviolet (UV) radiation, 311 to 312 nm. And it is considered the latest developed device of broadband source (290 to 320 nm).

    PUVA or photochemotherapy is a type of ultraviolet radiation treatment (phototherapy) used for severe skin diseases.

    PUVA is a combination treatment which consists of Psoralens (P) and then exposing the skin to UVA (long wave ultraviolet radiation). It has been available in its present form since 1976.

  • Excimer Laser Xtrac

    Excimer 308-nm laser is a laser light source that delivers a specific wavelength (308 nm) of ultraviolet B (UVB) radiation. This new technology is a further development of narrowband UVB that delivers energy at a wavelength between 311-312 nm and has proven to be beneficial treatment.
